What is the difference between pillow-top mattress, mattress toppers and mattress pads?

A pillow-top mattress is a mattress that can not be flipped because of the added pillow-top feature. The pillow-top is a soft layer of material sawed on top of the mattress. This gives a soft and comfortable feeling to your mattress.

The mattress topper is completely separate from the mattress. They may be filled with synthetic down or genuine down, and is held in place atop the mattress by the fitted sheet. Down is comforting, it is warm in the cold weather and cool in hot weather.

The mattress pad and mattress topper are easily confused for the same thing, and they are actually different. The mattress pad is a thin, usually made of quilted cotton or synthetic material. They are mostly used to protect our mattresses and at the same time provide additional padding. A mattress pad typically fits the mattress like a fitted sheet.
