What is the best size bed for couples?

What is memory foam?
It is a foam that was originally developed by NASA with high-relieving capabilities. It releases pressure from the pressure points on the body and increasing blood circulation. Memory foam softens in reaction to body heat allowing it to mould to a warm body in a few minutes. Memory foam works well in combination with other foam layers or springs. Find out more.
What is a spring mattress?
There are two main types of spring mattresses: the one is Bonnell spring and the second one is pocket spring. The Bonnell spring is the old conventional spring unit where the springs are connected to each other and are in the shape of an hourglass. The pocket springs are packed individually and wrapped in a fabric pocket into the mattress unit. Because the springs are not connected to each other there is less movement transfer between sleeping partners. Find out more.
What is a latex mattress?
A latex mattress combines foam with either springs or reflex foam. You get both natural and synthetic latex. Find out more.
What is better: memory foam or latex foam?
Memory foam is heat sensitive, meaning it becomes softer with heat and has pressure-relieving capabilities. Latex also has pressure-relieving capabilities, but has a more bouncy feel and will keep this feature even under higher or low temperatures. What is better: foam or pocket spring mattresses?
Foam mattresses work better for heavier people. These mattresses also have zero movement transfer between sleeping partners. They generally have a firmer solid feel. Pocket spring mattresses are generally your most luxurious mattresses and designed for ultimate comfort. These mattresses have limited movement transfer between sleeping partners.

We’re aware that sometimes things don’t go according to plan. Luckily we have a plan. If your product has arrived in a damaged state, please contact us immediately to arrange for collection and a refund or exchange.

What is a mattress guarantee?
This describes the conditions under and the period during which a product can be returned, refunded or exchanged. There is no single or standard mattress guarantee as each brand will have a different policy. Check the product’s information section when you’re shopping.
What is a mattress warranty?
This is the warranty that the manufacturer makes regarding the longevity of the product. There is usually a small percentage that the customer needs to pay under the warranty should the product be found to have a manufacturing fault.
How long does a mattress warranty last?
This will vary depending on the brand of mattress you buy. Most warranties are valid for at least 10-15 years. Check the product’s information section to be sure of the warranty period.
Is there a trial period?
Yes. The Mattress Warehouse has a 100-day comfort trial period during which time you can decide if the comfort level is right for you. If it turns out that you’re not 100% satisfied with the comfort level, you can return the mattress. T&Cs apply.
